Hindustan Kalari Sangam extends its scope of activity by organising different festival activities during the year. The two major programs are Gurusmriti and Vijayadasami.
Gurusmrithi is the commemorative event of Guru Veerasree Sami Gurukkal held every year in the month of May. It is a day-long event filled with various cultural events as well as scientific seminars related to Kalarippayat and other related topics. Theatre performances of classic dance forms and contemporary forms are shown every year during this day. A series of talks, critical events, exhibitions, and work-in-progress showcases are arranged, too.
Vijayadasami celebration at Hindustan Kalari Sangam is planned and organized with a great spiritual significance every year. It is the auspicious time to initiate the training program for students. Chuvadumattom constitutes an important happening during this day. It is a practice, in the tradition, when a group of students is initiated into a higher stage of training following a ritualistic manner.
